Lusaka, Zambia

Day 1 in Lusaka, Zambia.
The last few days that I had, I didn't think that I would be able to come here, but here I am with fractured hand and ruptured ACL and torn menisci. First day went really fast for most of the time. I am writing this at the night in my mosquito net tent.
I arrived with Edwin (for those who don't know, he is my exchange partner) to Lusaka airport around 6am local time which is +2h to GMT without daylight saving, after 10 hour flight from London. The weather wasn't too hot, it was warm and sun was shining but there was slight breeze. We were picked up by our hostel manager and UTH:n busdriver.
When we got to the UTH (university teaching hospital) grounds, which are massive, like a small city, we were delivered to our hostel.  We were put in the  block 7 second floor flat were all the exchange students stay. On the other blocks local students live for 3-5 years depending on which level they are studying. I got my own room, don't have to share it with anyone. Edwin is sharing his room with Austrian medical student. We share the flat with 4 Norwegian nurse students, 2 boys and 2 girls and 3 Austrian medical student, 2 girls and a boy. They are all really nice.
We met few people from the nursing school staff and they were really nice. We also talked with Mrs. Mugongka (Nurse programme director, spelling will be checked later) about our clinical placement, what we are going to do, for how long and when. I am going to do Mental health practice and elderly care (will tell later when I know the wards were I am going to). Siis niitenhän piti tietää mitä me tullaan tekemään ja jne. mut kas kummaa eihän tienneet. We got assained 2 tutors, who are going to do their exchange in Finland in the spring 2013, they showed to us the UTH and later on the day little bit around the city.
